One in five people will experience an episode of mental illness at some point in their lives. When this happens, the effect on loved ones is enormous. Feeling helpless and powerless in the face of illness that cannot be fixed by love is very hard and tends to cause unproductive responses. At Grow a Strong Family, we recognize that knowledge increases the odds that love flows unhindered, advocacy occurs naturally, and outcomes for our loved ones are significantly improved.
